CA is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. With CA's recent announcement of the general availability of AllFusion Modeling products version r7.1 and r4.1.4 SP4, we would like to take this opportunity to review the support schedule for currently supported releases of AllFusion Modeling Suites.
Since AllFusion Modeling Suite (ERwin, Model Manager, Process Modeler and Model Navigator) versions r7.1 and r4.1.4 SP4 are generally available (GA), CA is planning to discontinue support for Release 4.1 as of September 30, 2007. If you are using other than a GA version of the AllFusion Modeling products you should upgrade all your AllFusion products to one of the current GA versions (you must use the same version for all products). Also, the upgrade path for future product releases (post r7.1) will require that customers are using a version of r7 or r4.1.4 SP4, as we will not provide a direct upgrade path from Release 4.1.
If you have not yet upgraded your existing AllFusion Modeling products to version r7.1 or r4.1.4 SP4, we urge you to do so as soon as possible so that your organization can benefit from the latest new features and enhancements these product releases have to offer. CA would like to support and assist you in your effort to upgrade to the latest release of AllFusion Modeling Suite products. Therefore, we offer the following:
- A no-charge upgrade from any AllFusion Modeling Suite product Release 4.1 to the same AllFusion Modeling Suite product (either version r7.1 or r4.1.4 SP4), for any customer with an activemaintenance contract.
- Availability of technical documentation to help you prepare for the upgrade to AllFusion Modeling Suite products version r7.1 or r4.1.4 SP4. Those documents can be viewed at https://support.ca.com.
- CA Technology Services is available to assist in any or all parts of the upgrade, including analysis of your current system, preparation for the upgrade, testing, and assistance during the upgrade itself. For more information please outline your needs at http://www.ca.com/services/.
- CA is committed to providing superior support to our customers using our technology solutions. We are pleased to announce Lifeline Services - an Extended Support Services option designed to extend support for older versions of CA products that have been officially discontinued.
