This tool will simplify and expedite the diagnostics process and decrease possible
downtime by providing you and CA Support Engineers with the data they need
from your environment.

Remote Engineer 4.0 retains the functionality of 3.0 and introduces the ability to directly
open and update cases, and with your permission have CA retain selected information
regarding your CA product’s deployment. Upload is changed to avoid the SFTP protocol
and instead provides a secure upload to cloud storage.
Remote Engineer 4.0 is supported on 64 bit Linux platforms and 64 bit versions of
Microsoft Windows (2003, 2008, 2012, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10).

Remote Engineer 3.x expedites the support process by automatically capturing information
that may be useful in helping a support technician resolve a technical issue. This may

Once you choose to run the CA Remote Engineer, you have the choice to send the detailed
information directly to the CA Support Team via SFTP, or to gather the information locally.
If the information is collected locally you may preview the data. This gives you a chance to
self-diagnose, or delete any information before forwarding to CA Support.
