Description:

Where can we find the values of the MAXFILEPROC parameter to check if it has a correct value?

Solution:

  1. To find the BPXPRMxx member actif on your system, you have to run the command:
    /d omvs under sdsf
If you have OMVS=(C3) you have to take the BPXPRMC3

  2. To display the OMVS options, please run the command:
         /d omvs,options
    TSU02580 00000294 D OMVS,OPTIONS INTERNAL 00000090 BPXO043I 08.52.20 DISPLAY OMVS 580 580 00000090 OMVS 0010 ACTIVE OMVS=(00) 580 00000090 CURRENT UNIX CONFIGURATION SETTINGS: 580 00000090 MAXPROCSYS = 200 MAXPROCUSER = 2 580 00000090 MAXFILEPROC = 256 MAXFILESIZE = NOLIMIT 580 00000090 MAXCPUTIME = 1000 MAXUIDS = 2 580 00000090 MAXPTYS = 256 580 00000090 MAXMMAPAREA = 40960 MAXASSIZE = 21474836 580 00000090 MAXTHREADS = 500 MAXTHREADTASKS = 5 580 00000090 MAXCORESIZE = 4194304 MAXSHAREPAGES = 1310 580 00000090 IPCMSGQBYTES = 2147483647 IPCMSGQMNUM = 100 580 00000090 IPCMSGNIDS = 500 IPCSEMNIDS = 5 580 00000090 IPCSEMNOPS = 25 IPCSEMNSEMS = 10 580 00000090 IPCSHMMPAGES = 25600 IPCSHMNIDS = 5 580 00000090 IPCSHMNSEGS = 500 IPCSHMSPAGES = 2621 580 00000090 SUPERUSER = BPXROOT FORKCOPY = COPY 580 00000090 STEPLIBLIST = /system/steplib
