TMA-0113 Incorrect number format or a negative number entered

Question:

I get an error TMA-0113: Incorrect number format or a negative number entered, when I enter 7.5 hours in my timesheet, when my Clarity account settings are set to French, why?

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Login to the application as a timesheet user
  2. Home, Account Settings, Locale = French
  3. Timesheets, Enter hours = 7,5
  4. Click 'Save' button

 

Expected Result: Save successful
Actual Result: TMA-0113: Incorrect number format or a negative number entered

Answer:

The Application Server Locale setting was configured for a Locale that does not accept the dot (.) as a decimal separator. Reset the Application Server Locale to United States setting or another locale according to the desired number formats. This will allow application users to set their local settings to other regions.
