Introduction:

 The APM CE (CEM) component has multiple reporting mechanisms.   These mechanisms will return a variety of fields. This is a clarification of two specific fields.

Question:

 What is the difference between CEM - BadTransactionCount and CEM - DefectCount?

Environment:
All supported APM Releases.
Answer:

DefectCount is the number of actual defects
BadTransactionCount  is the number of transactions with at least 1 defect 

The key here is a transaction can have more than one defect.
