Introduction:

Resolving  EDC8127I Connection timed out for the DCDSRVR job.

Question:

DCDSRVR job receiving the following:

10.222.37.100 on port 4,500 with message: EDC8127I Connection timed out.
(Connection timed out). ERRORCODE=-4499, SQLSTATE=08001

java.net.SocketException: EDC5111I Permission denied. (Listen failed)

 

 

 

Answer:

The DCDSRVR started task acid need to be permitted to DCDS.CA-DCD.CA_DATA_CONTENT_DISCOVERY under the resource class of SERVER in you external security package (ACF2, TSS or RACF).
