Prior to UIM 8.31 we used to be able to make a change to the portal-ext.properties files and force end users to land on site web pages. After upgrading past UIM 8.31 we can no longer do this. How to we correct this?

Summary:

This article has a word document attached with detailed instructions on how to
setup UMP so that users can login to UMP and be directed to a Site page.

This used to be able to be accomplish with on change to the portal-ext.properties
files prior to 8.31.

Post 8.31 there are several more steps that need to be done per the attached document.

Background:

Prior to UIM 8.31 clients could follow a KB article to force users when
logging into UMP to land on a site page rather than personal private or public pages.
With UIM 8.31 this was not possible due to some changes in UIM permissions.

The attached article provide a work around.

On Page 6 in the Grant Portlet access section there if you are using UIM 8.51
you will may want to add the additional portlets:
