Issue:

Alarmnotifier output not displaying severity- From the output it shows as:

SEV=

when it should be displayed as

Severity=

Cause:

Before Alarm Notifier passing an Alarm to a script, it will fetch alarm Severity conditions like MAJOR, CRITICAL, MINOR, etc.,  from the resource binaries, which are installed under $SPECROOT/Res directory.

If the root.res file from $SPECROOT/Res/SUTILS file has been modified or deleted you may see fields displayed incorrectly.

For example The “severity” field may incorrectly display being either blank or:

SEV=

Workaround:

The workaround in this scenario is to copy/place the root.res file from the same version of Spectrum from working machine to the problematic machine.
