Question:

The native SMP/E (non-CSM) installation of CA Top Secret r16.0 may fail with the following error during the APPLY Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP), process:

GIM30206E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD CAKOG00. HOLD REASON IDS WERE NOT RESOLVED.
GIM35901I    ERROR HOLD AC90345 WAS NOT RESOLVED.                           
GIM37001S ** APPLY PROCESSING STOPPED BECAUSE FUNCTION SYSMOD CAKOG00 FAILED.

Answer:

To avoid this SMP/E error, either of the following Options can be selected for installation of the Basic product FMIDs.

Option One
To get past the error, so you can continue with the installation, you can modify the APPLY Job to use ‘BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM,HOLDERROR(reason id))’:  

1.) Run the APPLY CHECK Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP), with the 'BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM)' statement.
2.) If run successfully, run the APPLY Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP) with the 'BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM HOLDERR(AC90345))' statement.
3.) If run successfully, run the ACCEPT Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS6ACC).
4.) If run successfully, go to the 'Install the Maintenance' Section below and follow the instructions.

Option Two
To specify‘//SMPHOLD DD DUMMY’on the RECEIVE Job. After successful execution of the RECEIVE, execute the APPLY and ACCEPT Jobs for the Base product FMIDs:

1.) Run the RECEIVE Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS4REC), but specify '//SMPHOLD DD DUMMY' on this Job.
2.) If run successfully, run the APPLY CHECK Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP).
3.) If run successfully, run the APPLY Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS5APP).
4.) If run successfully, run the ACCEPT Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS6ACC).
5.) If run successfully, go to the ‘Install the Maintenance’ Section below and follow the instructions.

 

As of writing (June 07, 2017), there are five Correcting PTFs that address the HOLDERRORs. These can be APPLY’d after successful completion of the ACCEPT Job for the Base product FMIDs. The five Correcting PTFs are:
RO89828, RO86945, RO88796, RO91603 and RO91447.

 

Install the Maintenance
Once the Base product FMIDs have been successfully ACCEPT'd, then the Maintenance RECEIVE and APPLY Jobs can be run, using the Error HOLDDATA and PTF Maintenance File.
1.) If the Base product has been successfully installed, run the RECEIVE Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS7RECP), this should include PTFs: RO89828, RO86945, RO88796, RO91603 and RO91447.
2.) If run successfully, run the APPLY CEHCK Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS8APPY).
3.) If run successfully, run the APPLY Job, in hlq.SAMPJCL(TSS8APPY).
