Summary:

This KB article provides the instructions on how to apply a ca.olf file to the server where Autosys has been installed. 

Environment:
CA Workload Automation AE r11.3+
Instructions:

Do the following (for EACH computer where you have installed the CA product): 

 

LINUX

1. Go to the $CASHCOMP/ca_lic directory (the default path would be /opt/CA/SharedComponents/ca_lic) 

2. See if there is an existing ca.olf file. 

3. If there is an existing ca.olf file, please use a text editor and copy/append the license contents of the NEW olf file into the existing ca.olf file. 

NOTE: You do not need to copy over the first two header lines. 

4. Copy lines 3 through the end and append them to the bottom of the existing ca.olf file. 

5. If there is NO existing ca.olf file, copy the license file to this directory and rename it as ca.olf. 

6. If you have more than one ca_lic directory on your machine, please ensure that you have the ca.olf file installed in each ca_lic directory.

 

WINDOWS

1. Using Windows Explorer/File Explorer, go to the %CASHCOMP%\CA_LIC directory (the default path would be C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC) 

2. See if there is an existing ca.olf file. 

3. If there is an existing ca.olf file, please use a text editor and copy/append the license contents of the NEW olf file into the existing ca.olf file. Please use Notepad when editing this file so that no formatting characters are inserted. 

NOTE: You do not need to copy over the first two header lines. 

4. Copy lines 3 through the end and append them to the bottom of the existing ca.olf file. 

5. If there is NO existing ca.olf file, copy the license file to this directory and rename it as ca.olf.
