Issue:

The Virtual Machines are displayed twice in CA Spectrum OneClick Console.

One is Model Type Name: UIMHostServer (UIMHost)

Another is Model Type Name: UIMVM (VMware Virtual Machine)

This always happens when the Virtual Machine is off (down), in Initial Condition. Once the VM is turned on, the UIMHostServer (UIMHost) model disappears.

Environment:
CA Spectrum 10.2.1 and CA UIM 8.51
Cause:

This is working as designed since we pull VMs as part of Host server integration as well (for cases where VMs are not monitored through UIM's VMware probe but through UIM's discovery server). So they will be displayed under Server and Virtualization hierarchies.

A more comprehensive solution has to be provided for this so that the behavior of the Host server integration is configurable.

But for time being we have added code to exclude processing of VMs as part of Host server integration.

Workaround:

This issue has been addressed in the following patch.
