Problem:

After adding 100 models to my ipdomain container in Spectrum, only 50 addresses are sent to CAPC for discovery.

We can see this in the discovery profile that is created in CAPC.

Environment:
CAPC 2.x, 3.x Spectrum 10.x
Cause:

Spectrum has the concept of a proxy model.

A proxy model is a model in landscape A that represents a model that actually lives on landscape B.

The proxy model is considered a ‘shadow’ model and has an attribute called

Isproxymodel=yes

CAPC will not discover a proxy model from Spectrum.

Resolution:

The best way to resolve this is add the original model to the ipdomains container for discovery.

An alternative would be to set the attribute isproxymodel=no, but this creates a duplicate model and duplicate polling in Spectrum.
